- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to issue a Time and Materials task order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00019-04-G-0007 to Bell-Boeing for risk reduction trade studies to support the initial deployment of the MV-22 aircraft. The purpose of the trade studies is to address defensive weapon system development, avionics roadmap development, aircraft parts obsolescence, and reliability and maintainability (R&M) issues in order to reduce total program risk, improve planning and integration, and lower life cycle costs. Bell-Boeing is the sole designer, developer and producer of the V-22 tiltrotor aircraft and is the only known source with the required technical expertise and data to meet the Government?s needs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 541330 (Engineering Services). See Note 22!!
