Description
SITE DEMOLITION FOR THE NEW UNITED STATES COURTHOUSE, BUFFALO, NEW YORK. This is a Sources Sought Notice for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) under which the General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking qualified SDVOSB interest possible set aside contract for Hazardous Waste/Contaminated Material (HW/CM) and Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM) Removal and Site Demolition in Buffalo, New York The General Services Administration (GSA) owns all of the existing structures located on the city block bounded by Delaware Avenue, Niagara Street, South Elmwood Avenue, and West Mohawk Street with in the city of Buffalo, New York. This scope of work is for site demolition of the four structures present on this block as identified below: 120 Delaware Avenue ? Lawley Building 91 Niagara Street ? Balcom House 93 Niagara Street ? Vietnamese Restaurant 101 Niagara Street ? Law Offices The demolition will remove a six story steel frame building at 120 Delaware Avenue and three 1-2 story wood frame structures on Niagara Street and all billboards, overhead lines and guard shacks. All structures on the site will be demolished using mechanical mean (i.e. no explosions or wrecking ball). All buildings must be demolished in their entirety with the exception of the basement walls of 118/120 Delaware Avenue. These basement walls support the Delaware Ave and West Mohawk St. sidewalks. All basements must be backfilled to grade level with demolition debris no larger than one cubic meter. The demolition, debris removal and backfill operations shall be carefully removed and scheduled in order to preserve the integrity of the adjacent sidewalks. The parking lots will remain in place to the largest extent possible. All demolition work must executed as per the Demolition Documents and Specifications issued by GSA. Prior to demolition any and all hazardous waste/contaminated material (HW/CM) and asbestos containing materials (ACM) must be removed as described by the Demolition Documents and Specifications. Asbestos abatement shall be done by licensed contractors. The estimated value of the work to be performed shall fall in the price range between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All interested contractors shall ensure they are Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) as determined in accordance with 13 CFR parts 125.8 through 125.13 and can also provide necessary bonding and insurance requirements based on the preceding estimated value of the work.
