- ****Please note that this Pre-Solicitation notice hereby replaces the Pre-Solicitation notice issued under N00024-05-R-4315. All other terms and conditions of N00024-05-R-4315 remain unchanged and in full force and effect. All that has been modified in this Pre-Solicitation notice is the Solicitation Number (N00024-06-R-4303) in order to reflect the correct fiscal year in which the Basic Ordering Agreement will be awarded. **** Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award sole source Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-06-R-4303 to Northrop Grumman Corporation, Sperry Marine Inc. of 1070 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22901 for repair and field engineering services in support of the AN/BPS-15(V) &16 (V) Radar Series for an ordering period of thirty-six months. The Contractor shall furnish services and material necessary for repair parts and repair, alterations, field changes, overhaul, refurbishment, maintenance, field engineering services, and design agent support for the AN/BPS-15(V) &16 (V) Radar Sets. The BOA allows for the placement of firm fixed-price (FFP) or cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) type delivery orders for an ordering period of thirty-six months. Sperry Marine is the sole manufacturer of the AN/BPS-15(V) &16 (V) Radar Systems and is considered the only source capable of performing the required repair and field engineering services needed. Therefore, no other firm possesses the technical expertise necessary to perform the work that will be required by the Government. The contract will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This synopsis is for informational purposes only, for the benefit of potential subcontractors. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the source identified herein.
