- Description
- Vicksburg Consolidated Contracts Office intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 to Nortek USA, 222 Severn Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403-2566. This procurement is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedur es (SAP) only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Nortek USA is the only known source capable of meeting the Governments requirements due to the equipment currently in place and the methodology used . The purchase of other type of products will adversely impact the Governments missions requirements. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to per form the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later that 12:00noon CST on 29 September 2005. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a compe titive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in re sponse to this notice. No RFP will be issued based upon this Notice of Intent. Interested parties may submit any information for consideration by the Government to Elizabeth.j.Kelley@mvk02.usace.army.mil with solicitation number referenced in the subject line.
