Description
LEUPP BOARDING SCHOOL REPLACMENT, COCONINO COUNTY, ARIZONA. The proposed procurement is unrestricted, open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS is 236220/SIC 1542, with a size standard of $28,500,000.00. The magnitude of construction is g reater than $10,000,000.00. Bonding will be required for this acquisition. Bidders attention is directed to Section 00100 in the Solicitation for information regarding the tour of the site. Plans will be issued on or about 20 October 2005, with bid opening on or about 5 December 2005. Large business firms are required to submit a subcontracting plan with the following minimum goals: 50.9% for small business; 8.8% for small disadvantaged business; 7.2% for women-owned small business; 2.9% for HUBZone small b usiness; and 0.5% for service-disabled veteran-owned small business. Bidders are advised that this requirement may be delayed, cancelled, or revised at any time during the solicitation, or final award process, and is subject to the availability of funds. T HE PROJECT replaces the existing Bureau of Indian Affairs Leupp Boarding School (130,769 gsf), Leupp, Arizona, with new facilities (approximately 110,000 gsf) designed for kindergarten children through high school teenagers with a projected enrollment of 3 69 students. The project includes the construction of a 98-student co-ed two-story dormitory; elementary, middle and high school interdisciplinary and special purpose classrooms and support spaces; a new detached Vocational Education Building; and a new M ulti-Purpose/Assembly Building that houses the kitchen, dining room, stage, music room, basketball court, locker rooms, showers and storage rooms. The project renovates the existing Facility Support Building to bring the buildings fire protection, archit ectural, mechanical and electrical systems up to current standards. The project also renovates the existing Media Center/Library to provide new suspended ceilings, fire sprinklers, fire alarms, and HVAC equipment. Also included in the construction projec t are covered bus parking, roadways, parking areas, sidewalks, fencing, playgrounds, playing field, utility systems, landscaping and storm drainage system. The existing classroom and gym building, dormitories, and kitchen and dining facility will be demol ished along with existing parking areas, curb and gutter, sidewalks, fences, playgrounds, and landscaping. All existing utilities on the campus are old and will be removed when within the footprint of new buildings or abandoned in place when feasible. TH E PROJECT will be advertised as an Invitation For Bid. Proposed procurement will result in a firm-fixed price contract. On this screen that is entitled, EBS Albuquerque District, click on the solicitation number you are interested in. On the following screen, find Solicitatio n Registration, and click on Register For This Solicitation. If you have not previously registered, click on New User and follow the instructions for Login Info rmation. This will require you to establish a user name and password. The same user name and password may be used to register for other projects in the system without having to repeat the entire registration process. When you register for the Plan Holders List, please complete all requested information.
