Description

DESC: The Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC), Edwards AFB intends to award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to SBC Data Com, Inc. of San Ramon, CA. The FSC Code is 6150. The NAICS code is 335999 which has a Small Business Administration size standard of 750 employees. The items to be procured are as follows: A requirement of a 208V APC UPS system with minimum 15 min run time. The unit needs to have remote management and montoring of the UPS and system notification. Also required is system environmental monitoring and notification. A 3 yr warranty is required. Installation of a 208V electrical line and Power distribution strip, and integration of the UPS at CSU Bakersfield are required. Additionally an APCC engineer inspection and startup are needed. SBC Datacom is uniquely qualified for this job because they have been performing all previous installations for all network electronics at this site. Contractors interested in this requirement should submit a complete technical package, which provides clear and convincing evidence that they can meet the Government?s requirement. In addition, the response should include any special requirements for a commercial contract (i.e., Commercial Financing, Warranty Provisions, Delivery Information, etc.) in accordance with FAR Part 12. Anticipated Award date is 30 Sep 05. Responses must be received no later than (NLT) 4:00 p.m., Pacific Standard Time, 29 Sep 2005. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within 1 day of the publication of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
