- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the request for quote for the required services under RFQ N00189-05-T-0644. A subsequent solicitation document will not be issued. FISC Norfolk intends to purchase on a sole source basis the following service: (1) 1 Group, Point-of?Presence (POP) Relocation. Place of Performance: Joint War-fighting Center, (JWFC) Suffolk, VA 23435 Security Requirements, Contractor?s personnel associated with this relocation requiring access to (JWFC) shall call a minimum of 24 hours in advance to coordinate access, also contractor?s personnel who do hold at least a Secret Clearance will need to be escorted while within the facility. Description of Work: Contractor to relocate the POP from room 2068 to Test Bay 34 (TB 34). This is to include prep work necessary prior to actual move of equipment, removal of equipment in 2068, installation of equipment in TB 34, and re-fusing the fiber in room 1047 (commercial demarcation) to the fiber cable going to TB 34. Equipment being moved to TB 34 consists of a Fiber Shelf, DDM2000, OC-12, Power Shelf and Battery Shelf. Government Furnished Material: JWFC will provide two racks for installation of contractor?s equipment involved in the relocation. JWFC will also provide the fiber optic cable from 1047 to TB 34, unless contractor insists they provide the fiber for the run. Contractor Furnished Equipment: Contractor will furnish tools and equipment necessary to complete relocation of POP. Contractor Furnished Material: Contractor will provide any cable, fiber and connectors with the racks containing the contractor?s equipment. Inspection/Acceptance Plan: USJFCOM JWFC/C4 Group (JT-60) and Systems Engineering (JT-90) representatives. Period of performance is September 29, 2005 through December 29, 2005. FOB: Point Destination to Joint War-fighting Center (JWFC), 116 Lake View Parkway, Suffolk, VA 23435. Sole source provider is Verizon, 5701 Cleveland St, 2nd Floor, Virginia Beach, VA 23462.
