Description
The Fleet & Industrial SupplyCenter, Puget Sound is soliciting for a firm fixed price supply type contract to be negotiated as a 100% small business set-aside for an Advanced Finishing Systems, Plural Component Application Equipment System #1AF6815M or equal. Plural component application equipment provides a means of combining the “A” and “B” components, of a two component coating, mixing them at a specified ration and spraying them through a hand-held spray gun. The unit is pneumatically driven. The unit shall have a variable ratio of 1:1 to 11:1. The paint system shall have a pint base/hardener mix ratio of 4:1. Units shall be capable of handling high viscosity, solvent free coatings with pot lives as short as five minutes, at a pressure of not less than 5000 psi measured at the outlet of the metering pump. Unites shall be able to meet these requirements while operating at ambient temperature of 40 degrees and proving material at the gun at a minimum temperature of 77 degrees. The physical layout of the unit shall include a drum handling apparatus and shall be skid mounted. This drum feed system shall be either attached or detached from the main metering assembly. The detachable drum feed system shall be self-supporting with respect to its pumps, regulation and agitators. Each piece of the unit shall comply with NAVSEA 0989-LP-030-7000 Lifting Standard. The offer for the Plural Component Application Equipment shall include on-site training, operation test, technical manuals, FOB Destination pricing and a standard commercial warrant in support of Naval Intermediate Facility Silverdale, WA 98315. Delivery date shall be 90 days after date of contract. The commercial solicitation, N00406-05-T-1986, will be issued on or about 22 September 2005 with a closing date of 28 September 2005. Proposed contract to be procured using commercial Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 12 and 13.5.
