W15QKN-05-T-0164 FedBizOpps notice Date: 20 September 2005 Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is an RFQ and the solicitation number is W15QKN-05-T-0164 the solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-26. The US Army TACOM-Picatinny intends to award a purchase order for CLIN 0001, Tandberg Professional VTC unit with 50??? plasma display (Tandberg Model #: 500981N/500981NV04), with encryption capability to include installation. 1. Contractor will ensure disposal of all packing material and debris generated from uncrating/unpacking unit. 2. Contractor will notify point of contact five working days before delivery and installation, allowing for scheduling and availability of work in the PM/DPM office area. 3. Contractor will consult with and cooperate with the ARDEC CITD VTC technicians in order to ensure compatibility with current ARDEC electrical and communication systems. 4. Contractor furnished materials: Contractor shall provide necessary tools, equipment, parts, supplies and materials necessary for the delivery, installation and set up of the Tandberg Professional unit w/50??? plasma, as specified. The Tandberg unit is the only model available that provides the required encryption capability as well as the 50??? plasma monitor, and is compatible with existing Picatinny Video teleconferencing systems software and equipment. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: Period of performance shall be 45 days after contract award. The provision at FAR 52.252-1, Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference applies to this acquisition. This solicitation incorporates one or more solicitation provisions by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. Upon request, the Contracting Officer will make their full text available.
