Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) needs to acquire a site for purchase on which the Government may construct a VA medical center in the Orlando Metropolitan Area. VA will also consider acceptance of a donated site. VA will consider properties in the range of fifty (50) to one -hundred (100) contiguous developable acres. To be considered, the site must be within the following geographic boundaries: North of Bee Line Expressway to intersection of State Road 436 (Semoran Blvd.) East of State Road 436 to intersection of State road 426 (Aloma) Southeast of State Road 426 to intersection of Mitchell Hammock South of Mitchell Hammock to intersection of State Road 419 (Chiluota Road) West of State Road 419 to intersection at State Road 50 (Colonial Drive) West of State Road 50 to intersection of State Road 520 West of State Road 520 to intersection of Bee Line Expressway. Land within one (1) mile outside all boundaries except the Bee Line Expressway will also be considered. Land within four (4) miles directly south of the Bee line Expressway where the Bee Line intersects State Road 436 and State Road 520 will also be considered. Other Requirements: 1) Site ownership must present free and clear title that does not contain any encumbrances unacceptable to the Government. 2) Full disclosure of any hazardous wastes or toxic materials on the site must be communicated to the Government in writing. 3) Easy access to the property via public transportation and major roadways must currently exist or be planned for the immediate future. 4) Appropriate utility service and road access must presently exist or must be presently approved or planned by the appropriate jurisdiction(s). VA staff will conduct a market survey of offered properties.
