- Description
- The Philadelphia Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center has a requirement for Certified Nursing Assistants support staffing services. The contractor shall furnish the VA with Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) to provide direct patient care at the VA Nursing Home Care unit. The duties will include but are not limited to patient feeding, walking, lifting, turning and providing related hygiene care. Also performing a range of diagnostic support duties which includes taking recording and reporting the deviations in vital signs and changes in patients? condition such as diabetes, uremic coma, insulin shock, gastro-intestinal hemorrhage and reporting them to the nurse or doctor. All Certified Nurse Assistants assigned by the Contractor to perform the services shall be licensed in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia. All Certified Nurse Assistants shall also be CPR trained and be certified. The Philadelphia VA Medical Center will not pay for any orientation, parking, mileage, hotel or relocation fees. This contract is open to all small Business Contractors who can provide Certified Nurse Assistants. GSA contractor please include a copy of your GSA contract with your solicitation package. The NAICS (North American Industry Classification System) code is 621399. The contract period shall be for one (1) year (base year) with two (2) one year Government options to extend. This procurement is being conducted utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance FAR 12.203. The award of this solicitation is subject to the availability of funding. The purposed contract is 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS (See Number Note 1). Solicitation packages can be downloaded from the system on 9-21-05. The bid opening date will be 10-21-05 @ 2:00pm. All bid solicitation packages must be received in this office before 2:00pm. All bid packages must be MAILED or faxed (215-823-6054). Any Bids sent via e-mail WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
