- The National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to solicit and negotiate, on a sole source basis for a contractor to serve as a science expert in the development of the Careers DVD from Biological Sciences Curriculum Study, 5415 Mark Dabling Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80918, because it is believed that no other source of supply can satisfy the Governments requirement. The NIH has a requirement for development of a careers DVD. The contractor shall provide but shall not be limited to the following services: (1) Shall develop the overall concept of individual sections. (2) Shall develop a production ready script. (3) Shall develop lesson plans to support the content and graphic design. (4) Shall assist in linking the education component of the DVD to national science standards. (5) Shall be prepared to provide services beginning October 1, 2005 through August 31, 2006. The Northern American Industry Classification system Code (NAICS) is 611710, with a size standard of $6.0. It is the government?s belief that these requirements can only be met by Biological Sciences Curriculum Study and considers that company to be uniquely qualified. This is not a formal solicitation; however, concerns that respond to this notice must furnish concise responses directed specifically to the requirements mentioned above. Sources demonstrating the capability to accomplish the above shall supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demonstrate their ability to perform. Information furnished shall include enough material to perform a proper evaluation. Respondents will not be notified of the evaluation results. All vendors/prospective contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor?s Registration (www.ccr.gov) prior to award date. This is a notice of intent and not a request for proposals.
