- Description
- The U.S. Customs and Border Patrol intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Heckler and Koch (H&K) USA to provide H&K magazines for the .223 caliber M4 variant of the COLT rifle. The magazines must have the following characteristics: 1)All Steel composition 2) Maritime/Hostile Environment Finish 3) Steel Follower 4) NATO spec met on drop testing ? 3 meter minimum in all three modes (empty, partially full, completely full) 5) Three-piece base assembly with rubber stop 6) Thirty round capacity (with ease for insertion into weapon platform with all thirty rounds in magazine) 7) Closed magazine catch release. This contract action will require the contractor to provide only H&K factory magazines. This contract action is subject to the availability of funds. See note 22
