Description
Furnish all planning, supervision, labor, equipment, material, supplies, parts, and all things necessary to repair a 248-inch hydroelectric reversible pump/turbine located at the Carters Pumped Storage Facility in Chatsworth, Georgia. In general (not all inclusive), work will consist of: cavitation inspection and repair; weld repair, field machining,painting of turbine components; installation and machining of government-furnished stationary and rotating wearing rings; lead-based paint abatement; installation of government-furnished greaseless bushings; mobilization and demobilization. It is anticipated that a fixed-price contract will be awarded based on best value procedures. Source selection criteria will be included in the solicitation; therefore, detailed proposals will be required. This procurement is an unrestricted procurem ent. The NAICS is 333611; the size standard for which is 1000 employees. The solicitation will only be issued as a direct download at the following website: http://www.sam.usace.army.mil/sam/ct and will be available for download on or about February 10, 2005. The solicitation will not be provided in a printed paper format, how ever, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Governments best interest. Therefore, it is the offerors responsibility to check the website for solicitation posting and any changes to this solicitati on. Actual solicitation amendments will be issued either by posting for download to the aforementioned web site or fax. Interested offerors, to include subcontractors and Dodge/Plan Rooms, are required to self-register their firm or office at the above website. NO TELEPHONE, FAXED OR MAILED requests will be accepted. Those registering are responsible for the accuracy of t he information provided. Registration must include the firms physical address, telephone (including area code), a valid fax number and a point of contact. Registration should be completed one work prior to the issue date.
