In accordance with FAR 8.602 and DFARS 208.602, the supplies covered in this synopsis are determined to be products furnished by Federal Prison Industries (FPI). The synopsis and solicitation will constitute m arket research as well as the instrument to evaluate for award. Unless quotations/proposals received demonstrate that FPI's product is not comparable to products available from the private sector in price, quality, and time of delivery, award will be made to FPI. Notwithstanding the inclusion of any set-aside provision or clause in this solicitation, award may be made to FPI, even if this solicitation is subject to a set-aside provision. The North American Industry Classification Code is 335311, 750 empl oyees. See Note number 1. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided.
