Description

TRADOC Analysis Center (TRAC) located at White Sands Missile Range, NM intends to add a three month extension and an option for an additional three months to their contract with Advanced Systems Technology, Inc. (AST). This extension is necessary to cover services while the ACA-NR Contracting Office awards a new contract and to cover a phase-in period if required. It is not feasible to contract with any other company to perform these services during this period. All others would require a transitio n period that would leave TRAC without full-service coverage for 1-2 months and cost about $500,000 for actual costs and as much as another $500,000 in cancelled or unsupported missions. In addition there are several hundred lines of Government Furnished Property that would have to be 100% inventoried and transitioned to a new contractor and would cause further delays. Performance by any other contractor would not be performance or cost beneficial to the Government. Note 22.
