Description
NOTICE TO OFFERORS: Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this synopsis/solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this synopsis/solicitation, either before or after the closing date, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation is restricted to MAINLAND PORTUGAL AND ITS TERRITORIES. The solicitation number is F2N33Q5213A300. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05 and DFARS Change Notice 20050901. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code to this acquisition is 337122. Item Required: Bunk Bed, with mattress, support rail and ladder. Quantity of Bunk beds with mattresses is 80 EACH. BUNK BED IS BRAND NAME ONLY: Manufacturer is Almondina Moveis ? Diamontino Lourenco e Irmao L.da; Model is Jovem. Bunk bed measures 1.95m x 0.95m with stairs until the floor, dismountable for two (2) beds, and one (1) drawer for arrangements; Oak coloured and Cherry stain finish. MATTRESS salient characteristics are: Construction ? biconical springs of 2.30mm steel wire, reinforced with 5mm hard steel wire double frame; Stuffing ? 1600 g/m2 thermo joint felt for support of quilt composed of Polyurethane foam, cotton and acrylic; Padding ? jacquard fabric, with ?sanitized? treatment (65 percent cotton, 35 percent polyester), lateral air-holes. Top mattress is 1.90m x .88 and bottom mattress is 1.83m x .88m. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall provide a firm fixed-price for above items. Offerors must provide projected delivery date. Successful contractor must meet all the responsibility requirements of Subpart 9.1 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR.) A written notice of award or acceptance of offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. Evaluation will be made based on the lowest price offer, with the proposed delivery date closest to our target delivery date. Shipping price to this destination shall be included in the overall quotation. The following clauses also apply: 52.212-2 Evaluation ? Commercial Items. The evaluation factors for this solicitation is Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable. 52.212-4 ? Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; 52.212-5 ? Award will be based on the Lowest Price, Technically Acceptable and the responsiveness to the terms and conditions of the requirements. Offerors are responsible to comply with this notice and any amendments thereto. Amendments to this RFQ will be published in the same manner as the initial synopsis/solicitation. All quotations and other normal documents required for the quotation submittal, including amendments to the quotation submittal, shall be in paper medium. All offerors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posted on EPS are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those offerors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFQ through their e-mail address.
