- AFDW/A7KS, Bolling AFB, Washington, D.C., intends to award a sole source open-market contract to SUN Micro Systems (SUN), Inc., Vienna, VA., for SUN Hardware/Software Maintenance Renewal on Contract FA7012-05-F-A001 in support of the Air Force Studies & Analyses Agency (AFSAA). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. The maintenance renewal period covers 01 October 2005 through 30 September 2006. Award will be made on or about 01 October 2005. This acquisition will be a Firm-Fixed Price award. The NAICS Code assigned to this requirement is 541519 with a size standard of $21,000,000.00. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within 7 days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
