This item is prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation FA8601-05-R-0078 is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-05 effective 26 Aug 2005 and Class Deviation 2005-o0001. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 532490 and the size standard is $6,000,000. This acquisition has one line item and is Brand Name or Equal In Accordance With FAR 52.211-6: CLIN 0001 requires one year rental of two Volvo L110E Wheel Loaders equipped with a 4.4 Cu. Yd. Hook-On Bucket, 57? Heavy Duty Fork Tines and Frame and must have Hydraulic Quick Volvo Coupler. Must be equipped with standard equipment (air conditioner, articulating bucket, cab with lights and all safety equipment. Both loaders are required to move and relocate coal, required to remove snow and required to remove and relocate concrete barriers at various security gates at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. Rental is without the driver. Both loaders must be delivered to Wright-Patterson AFB, OH on date given after award date and returned back to the Contractor on 30 Sept 2006. The Period of Performance is effective from 23 Sept 2005 through 30 Sept 2006. This will be a Firm Fixed-Price contract/award. Written and faxed quotes are being accepted.
