Description
A Request for Comment (RFC) will be posted on or about September 16, 2005. This RFC is for the Management and Oversight (MOS) Request for Proposals (RFP) that will be issued. The purpose of this RFC is to solicit feedback from interested commercial sources as to the work to be performed. MARAD will review all the comments received and revised the RFP where necessary. Contractors are requested to Advise MARAD of any current regulatory requirements not covered in the statement of work. There will be a site visit for the Request for Comments (RFC) held on September 27, 2005. Contractors should meet at the James River Reserve Fleet, NS SAVANNAH Ship at 0730hrs (7:30AM). This site visit is intended as a guided tour only and not a question/answer session. MARAD will not be answering questions at that time, though we do invite visitors to write their questions down on 3 x 5 cards, so the MARAD can address them later and post them to the VOA site.
