- This publication serves as notice of intent to procure services for the Department of Commerce, U.S. Export Assistance Center, Bakersfield,CA to provides export related programs and services to U.S. firms within the county of Kern, CA. Contractor will manage and services over 150 small medium sized exporters. The contract entail both administrative and programmatic management assistance in the areas of client services and follow-up, updating/filing client/event records, managing electronic client files and hardcopies, organizing trade events/recruitment records, and office operations as necessary for the period 10/1/2005 to 9/30/2006 The contractor shall be responsible for assigned duties in the areas mentioned above, with additional special projects assigned as follows: CLIENT RESULTS AND CLIENT CARE Consults directly with US exporters to design and implement international market development plans. Works to identify and help clients solve international trade challenges and problems. Promotes and applies US government export promotion programs and services to US exporters to meet client export market development objectives. Actively develops and tracks new clients, including non-traditional exporters such as minority and women-owned US firms. COLLABORATION Enhances customer service by drawing upon expertise from within the CS, ITA teams, the CS Specialist Program, other ITA units, TPCC agencies, and other government and non-government sources as necessary to better solve client problems. Actively seeks ways to assist other CS professionals by sharing knowledge and applying individual skills across the organization to solve client problems. Works to populate the DOC Insider with the best available information in key tradecraft areas. Increases client base by developing and nurturing ongoing and effective relationships with local partners, Congressional offices, DECs, overseas posts, trade promotion partners and the media.
