- THIS IS AMENDMENT 0001 TO THE NOTICE BELOW. THE QUANTITY REQUIRED FOR LINE ITEM 0001 IS CHANGED FROM THREE TO SIX. ADDS "ALL EQUIPMENT MUST BE COMPLETE, TESTED, GUARANTEED IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION AND CERTIFIED FOR IBM MAINTENANCE. PRICE SHOULD INCLUDE A 30 WARRANTY." ************ THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN FAR SUBPART 12.6 - STREAMLINED PROCEDURES FOR EVALUATION AND SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS - AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTATIONS ARE BEING REQUESTED, AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect in the Federal Acquisition Circular 05-05, NAICS 423430; This is a small business set-aside. This is a brand name procurement for refurbished International Business Machines Corporation (IBM) products and installation. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has this requirement for used/refurbished IBM fibre drive and cabinet for an existing IBM UltraScalable Tape Library, including IBM certified installation. All interested offerors must be authorized resellers of IBM Corporation equipment and services, and shall provide a quote for the following line items: Line Item 0001: Quantity SIX (6)) each Used/Refurbished LTO-ULTRIUM 2 fibre drive (3584-1476) for an IBM UltraScalable Tape Library; Line Item 0002: Quantity one (1) each Used/Refurbished Expansion Cabinet (3584-D32) for an IBM UltraScalable Tape Library; Line Item 0003: IBM certified Installation FOR THE ABOVE ALL EQUIPMENT MUST BE COMPLETE, TESTED, GUARANTEED IN GOOD WORKING CONDITION AND CERTIFIED FOR IBM MAINTENANCE. PRICE SHOULD INCLUDE A 30 WARRANTY. Award shall be made to the offeror who is an authorized reseller whose quote provides all part numbers specified and offers the lowest price. All offerors shall submit the following: 1) A quotation which addresses all Line Items; 2) A completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items which may be downloaded at www.acqnet.gov OR a current registration at http://orca.bpn.gov/; and should be prepared to provide IBM service provider (reseller) information if requested. All quotes should be submitted via email. Submission must be received by 3:00 p.m. local time September 19, 2005.
