Description

The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to questions from potential offerors: Q. You did not specifiy a processor speed. We assume that any dual AMD solution is acceptable. A. Dual Core min speed 2.0 GHz. Q. You did not specify a size of rackmount case or power supply. We assume that any power supply that is AMD approved is acceptable and that we need to provide sufficient rack space for whatever size cases we provide. A. Yes Q. You did not specify the type of connection on the NAS. We assume that 10/100 is acceptable (GigE is not required). A. GigE minimum. Q. You did did specify front or rear rack doors, power or cooling management, displays, mice, keyboards, floppy drives, CDROM, DVD, etc. We assume that none is required other than the power strips requires to connect to wall outlets. A. Head Node requires DVD-ROM drive or better. Q. We assume that wall power is 110/120v, 60hz, 15amp circuits. Please confirm. A. Yes Q. We assume that no software is required other than the SuSe OS requested. A. True Q. We assume that interconnection network cables are required. A. Yes Q. You did not specify local storage on the slave or master nodes. We assume that 40GB boot drive is acceptable for all systems. A. Yes. Q. Question regarding item number 8, the acceptance. Are you interested in having us install, integrate and demonstrate performance onsite, or is this something that just has to be done by your personnel prior to acceptance? A. No, will be provided by government personnel. No further information.
