- NAICS Code: 541620 NAICS Code 541620 The US Environmental Protection Agency, under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR Part 13, intends to issue a sole source purchase order to Dr. Tom Chandler of the University of South Carolina for the demonstration of a development and reproduction assay using a harpacticoid copepod species for the evaluation of toxicity to invertebrates. Dr. Chandler has originated the copepod development and reproduction assay, and this assay is a unique test method which will be used by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), for which EPA is a member, to compare this distinctive method with other existing marine toxicity tests. Dr. Chandler is the only known researcher that has worked with this specific protocol, and is the only known source with the capability and expertise to carry out the demonstration. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTATION IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the EPA's requirement stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 15 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered.
