Description
Please refer to this amended version of solicitation W15QKN-05-R-0306 which has been formatted for printing purposes. The U.S. Army, ARDEC at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. is conducting a market survey to identify sources that are capable of supplying a quantity of 325 each STINGER Warhead Body Assemblies (WBA) to support a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) case. In support of future potential FMS cases, options included for a possible total quantity of up to 2,827 each. The warhead body is a complex machined titanium metal part, fabricated from either forged or powdered metal pre-form, to tight tolerances. The assembly of the end item involves high reliability soldering, silk screening of the electrical circuit used in the Hard Target Sensor (HTS), special handling of conductive and non-conduction adhesive epoxies to secure the HTS, and purchase of various piece parts and assemblies to complete the item. The Warhead Body Assembly must interface with the M258E6 Warhead Section and missile guidance section and flight motor. The Warhead Body Assembly is to be manufactured and First Article and Lot Acceptance tested in accordance with Technical Data Package 9344462, Titled: Warhead Body Assembly. The anticipated period of performance for the basic contract award will be 5 months to provide First Article samples and initial lot delivery in 6 months. Potential candidates must possess the production line manufacturing tooling, inspection fixtures, automated acceptance test equipment, technical knowledge and expertise required to fulfill this requirement within the necessary delivery timeframe. All responding sources shall provide a summary of their company's capabilities including organizations, name/address/point of contact identification, a description of facilities/equipment, manufacturing process, inspection capability, personnel, past experience, proven monthly production capacity, possible partnering/teaming arrangements; and whether the company is a small or large business. The market survey is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the government. The Government will utilize the information provided for planning purposes only. All information submitted will be provided at no cost to the government and will be held in a confidential status. The contractor shall provide all information requested in this notification within fifteen days of this publication by electronic mail to mmaselli@pica.army.mil
