1.What are the exact types of equipment? Warehouse forklifts a.Class one, Counterbalance, Sit-Down Rider (solid & pneumatic tires, electric, gasoline, LPG) b.Class two, Narrow Aisle, Reach and Side Loader (solid tires, electric) c.Class three, Powered, Walkie Pallet Jacks (solid tires, electric) 2. What are the number of attendees anticipated for each class? The average has number of attendees has been 16 personnel per class, 108 classes for FY’s 2003 (38 classes), 2004 (34 classes), 2005 (36 classes), with 590 total attending. 3.What is the location of the course? Naval Air Depot Jacksonville 4. What is the availability of the students for the hands on Practical evaluations? When? Practical demonstrations are held on site, after classroom training and testing is completed. 5.What certification is required? a.Forklift – Certified by State Certifier after attending Train the Trainer Course – RingLift of Jacksonville Florida, Gary Oyler b.Crane – certified by Navy Crane Center after attending Train the Trainer Course – Pensacola, Florida c.Designated, Component Parts Protection/Material Handling Instructor, Commanding Officer, Naval Aviation Depot, Jacksonville, Florida. d.Designated, US Navy Instructor and Curriculum Developer, Jacksonville Florida 6.Please clarify the type or types of cranes involved in this solicitation.The following cranes are involved in this solicitation: Category III, Non Cab Operated, Overhead Electric Trolly up to, but not including, 20,000 pounds, and work-center hoists, 2,000 pounds capacity). 7.Is there an area wage determination pay and benefit rate available for this position(s)? This requirement is considered a professional series and is not covered by the wage determination. 8.Does the government expect instructor certifications to be submitted with each proposal? This is a performance based statement of work and information regarding should be included as an aspect of proposal submission. 9.Please provide historical information concerning the following: a.Number of forklift courses held per year over the past three years? See Question/Answer Number 2 b.Number of crane safety courses held per year over the past three years? Crane classes began April, FY 2004 – 7 classes, FY 2005 – 12 classes Response date has been revised from 16 September 2005 to 22 September 2005.
