Description

This is a notice of intent to issue an order to Avid Technology, Inc., 1101 Pennsylvania Ave, Suite 600, Washington, DC 20004 on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The proposed procurement is for a storage system that must be fully compatible with non-linear editing platforms that will form an integrated video and graphics non-linear production network that has been designed to operate on an advanced 4.0GB per second fiber channel, arbitrated-loop optical network. This storage system is fully compatible and have the ability to exchange media with editing and production systems that is already in use by the Pentagon Channel. Maintenance personnel are trained on these existing systems, minimizing the training time and technical support time.
