Description

Reference is made to Presolicitation Notice for N00140-05-Q-3035 which was posted on Fed Biz on September 06, 2005 which inadvertently stated that a full and open solicitation would be forthcoming for telecommunication maintenance services. This synopsis is hereby amended to state an intent to issue a sole source contract to EPS Inc. for these services to start on 01 Oct 2005. The sole source nature of this requirement is based on the fact that it is imperative for the company to be familiar with building structures, pier configurations, base cable plant infrastructure, and barge configurations that support ship overhalls as well as being familiar with base premise buildings and underground infrastructure. It is also imperative that the contractor has specialized training and meets the requirements necessary to maintain the LUCENT Definity G3R Telephone Switch This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their capability to provide the required services that will commence on 01 Oct 2005. This notice is not a request for quotes; however all information received by 16 Sept 2005 will considered by the Government and information provided in response to this synopsis will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
