Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subparts 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a quote is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation N61339-05-T-0105 is issued as a request for quote and incorporates the provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-11. The solicitation shall be awarded on a sole source basis to UGS Federal Sales, Accounting Executive, 657 Discovery Drive, Suite 100, Huntsville, Al 35806. UGS is the current contractor supplying these items with the hardware performance specifications required by other end item/component to support the System Test Integration Laboratory (STIL)/Crew Station Interface (CSI) Programs. These items are significant in the development of the capabilities required of the STIL/CSI to accomplish it basic mission. These projects will develop a testing and integration lab used for the stimulation, simulation, and integration of all hardware in the loop testing of on/off platform aviation electronic components and/or complete systems as part of modernization of Army aircraft. These prescribed tools will provide the program an opportunity to maximize the design characteristics of the STIL/CSI programs and its continued use in supporting its overall mission that features: interchangeable flight controls, seats, consoles and panels to create a replica of the actual cockpits to recreate the force-feel systems, ergonomic factors and other MANPRINT considerations. This simulator allows for insertion of a test pilot into the simulated scenario to access total systems performance, pilot workload and evaluate the HFE cockpit environment; and to assess mission software. This simulator will provide for systems of systems testing in a robust virtual scenario. This capability provides a CSI for various rotary wing platforms to determine optimum man-machine interfaces. The extensive cockpit libraries provided as part of this integrated toolset will allow the programs to not spend as much development time in this area saving the programs dollars and affording the opportunity to stay in alignment with the present programs schedules. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 541511 with a size standard of $21MIL. This is a firm fixed price requirement and will be awarded using the Simplified Acquisition Procedures. CLIN 0004, Practical Applications of NX Training, Qty 1 ea, P/N: TR10050. CLIN 0005, Custom Training On-Site, Qty 1 ea, P/N: TR2006-OS Description Of Work: This toolkit is to be used in the development and continued use in meeting the design and mission requirements respectively of the STIL/CSI programs that include multiple helicopter and Unmanned Aerial Vehicle flight simulation platforms.
