Description
Pre-Solicitation Notice ??? Small Arms Distribution /Logistics Management Support Services The U.S. Army RDECOM presents a requirement for services encompassing both Program Management and Logistics to support the Project Manager Soldier Weapons (PMSW), a Program Office of Program Executive Office (PEO) Soldier. The main objective is supporting Research, Development, Test and Evaluation, Soldier Enhancement Program, Limited Production, Full-Scale Production and Life Cycle Management efforts for weapons, fire control, and ammunition systems managed by PMSW. The performance of this effort shall require the contractor to interface with the Army and other Department of Defense agencies, including: PEO Soldier and its project and product managers; Department of the Army (DA) G-8 staff; US Army Infantry Center (USAIC); US Army Special Operations Command; Project Manager Brigade Combat Team (PM BCT); Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC); Army Test and Evaluation Command; US Army Tank- automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM), Rock Island (RI); and other service organizations. Distribution and logistics support includes planning and tracking distribution and fielding to Army units including current and future Stryker Brigade Combat Teams (BCT), preparing and maintaining Weapon/Accessory Systems Integration plans, preparing and maintaining Program Management documents such as Distribution and Fielding Plans, maintaining an asset tracking database, and updating the Small Arms Integration Book. A Non-Disclosure statement will be required to be signed by the offeror(s) receiving an award. The Government intends to award this contract on the basis of best value using Full and Open Competition. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be firm fixed price level of effort contract with four (4) option years. Electronic release of a competitive Request for Proposal is planned for on or about October 05. Proposals may be required within thirty (30) days from date of release of the RFP. No telephone requests shall be honored. Numbered Note 25 applies to this announcement.
