Description

THE ABOVE REFERENCED SOLICITATION IS HEREBY AMENDED TO EXTEND THE RESPONSE DATE TO 16 SEP 2005, 1:00 PM EST AND TO PROVIDE ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS FROM POTENTIAL OFFERORS: Q. Can you provide details and criteria on Acceptance: Install, integrate and demonstrate performance? What will determine performance? Will it be simply functionality of the cluster, or will there be any benchmark/speed requirements included to determin e performance? A. There are no benchmarks that we need to run. Simple functionality of the cluster is all that we are requesting. Q. We can offer dual-core technology, however this processor technology is more expensive than standard processor technology. I am concerned about awarding to Low price technically acceptable. A vendor that does not offer dual-core technology is still t echnically acceptable (according to the specifications this is desired, but is not a requirement), and will certainly come in at a lower cost. A. Dual core is required. Min CPU speed is 2.0 GHz.
