Description

ON 12 SEP 2005 - INFORMATION HAS BEEN UPDATED TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The 88th Contracting Squadron, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, anticipates a competitive acquisition for an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract with one base year and four one-year option periods. This potential acquistion of services is 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. Requirement is for non-personal service to provide all supervision, labor, material and equipment for the proper removal, transportation, and disposal of flyash from coal heating plants at Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. The approximate solicitation issue date is 16 September 2005. The solicitation and all related documents will be available at http://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil. END OF UPDATE, 12 SEPTEMBER 2005. ___________________________________________________________________ SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS: Solicitation number FA8601-05-R-0030 is a Sources Sought Synopsis. A further request for proposal (RFP) may or may not be issued. Responses to this notice are due by NOON (Eastern Standard Time), THURSDAY, 24 MARCH 2005, to the point of contact identified at the end of this notice. The United States Air Force, 88th CONS, Wright-Patterson AFB OH, is contemplating the procurement of SERVICES TO REMOVE FLYASH. The draft performance work statement (PWS) is attached. Any part of the PWS, including appendixes, may be modified or removed during or after this announcement closes. The associated NAICS code is 562111; SIC is 4212; and FSC is J044. The small business size standard is $10,500,000. Firms responding should indicate if they are a large, small, socially and economically disadvantaged, or woman owned business. The general definition of a small business is one that is independently owned and operated, is not dominant in the field of operation in which it is proposing on Air Force contracts. Small business respondents should provide information on the services they propose in order to assist the Air Force in making a set-aside decision. Responses will be reviewed to identify firms capable of fulfilling the Government's requirements. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. The Air Force does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this sources sought or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Respondents should not construe this announcement as a commitment by the Air Force for any purpose.
