- PLEASE CANCEL SOLID STATE RECORDERS. ITEM NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME. The 46th Test Wing (TW), Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, Florida is issuing a sources sought synopsis to identify sources capable of providing solid state flight recorders in support of Department of Defense developmental and operational flight test requirements. These recorders with the data format specified within the IRIG standards, IRIG 106, Chapter 10. The government is seeking descriptive literature on units capable of demonstrating compliance with IRIG-106-04 Chapter 10. At a minimum the units must have the ability of recording device to simultaneously playback and display of four (4) channel types (MIL-STD-1553, PCM, Video) in addition to synchronization with external IRIG time IAW IRIG-106-104 requirements. At a minimum, data types shall consist of two dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 channels, four video/audio channels, playback and display of PCM streams, and RS-232 interface. The unit shall provide removable local disk storage capacity of 500GB minimum. This synopsis is not an invitation for bid or a request for proposal and in no way commits the government to an award of contract; however, any proposals submitted as a result of this notification, and prior to any subsequent contract award, will be considered by the contracting officer. Any future acquisition will utilize the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code, 334511 with a small business size standard of 750 employees.
