- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial requirements prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; a written solicitation will NOT be issued. This simplified acquisition procurement is also being accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 6.302- 1. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Southern AZ VA Health Care System (SAVAHCS), Clinical Care Line, 3601 S. 6th Avenue Tucson, Arizona intends to negotiate a sole source procurement for an IAC 140ACT-4 Audiometric Booth with MSR West of 6730 E McDowell Road Scottsdale, AZ 85257. MSR West is an authorized Arizona Distributor of the Industrial Acoustics Company (IAC), manufacturer of the IAC 104ACT-4 Audiometric Booth. The Audiometric Booth is designed for an Audiology Clinic exam room, which is used for patient examinations, hearing aid fittings, and modifications, and for research activities requiring a highly controlled suite. The applicable NAICS for this requirement is 423450. The Government will award a Firm-fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation. The Contractor shall provide a complete copy of the Offeror Representations and Certifications_Commercial Items (FAR 52.212-3 Mar 2005) with its offer or complete the annual representations and certifications electronically at http://orca.bpn.gov. Many of the provisions and clauses cited in this solicitation are incorporated by reference, FAR 52.252-2 (FEB 1998), to the appropriate section of the FAR and VAAR. A review of these provision and clauses will be necessary for you to understand all aspects of the solicitation. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by September 19, 2005, 4:00PM, AZ Time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the SAVAHCS will proceed with the sole source negotiation with MSR West.
