- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation issued pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulations Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being required and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-5. The NACIS code for this solicitation is 335122 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. This is a requirement to purchase an upgrade to microimaging system on Bruker DMX-400 NMR spectrometer including three GREAT3/40 gradient current amplifiers with 40 amp capacity, BCU-20 gradient water cooling unit, GREAT master preemphasis and amplified control unit and gradient control unit (GCU) board for AQX VME bus. It is the National Institute of Health, National Institute on Aging's intend to negotiate solely with Bruker Biospin MRI, Inc., 15 Fortune Drive, Billerica, MA 01821 to obtain this upgrade as they are the only known source that can ensure compatibility to existing systems configurations and are the manufacturer of the existing equipment. The Government will award a purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government price and other factors considered. All responsible sources may submit a quotation,which if timely received, shall be considered by this agency.
