Description

National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency intends to negotiate an award on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 with NAVTEQ, North American, LLC 222 Merchandise Mart Suite 900 located in Chicago Illinois. NAVTEQ will provide a Database License of Streets and Roads data throughout the United States and Canada. NAVTEQ dataset allows users to navigate through metro and rural areas with a high level of accuracy. The data also includes layers of prominent feature. The database encompasses of all 50 States, including District of Columbia and all other U.S. territories and possessions (e.g. Guam, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico) and Canada. The delivered database will become part of the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency (NGA)?s Homeland Security Infrastructure Database. In order to build and maintain this critical infrastructure database, a commercial federal license for this road network is required. The federal license was acquired last year and the service is still needed to continue the maintenance of the database provided. Most comprehensive and accurate database is essential for the success of emergency response and preparedness. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No formal solicitations package is available. Vendors who believe they have this capability should respond in accordance with Numbered Note 22. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice. Award is anticipated 5 days after publication of this notice.
