- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, San Diego, Regional Contracting Department, Seal Beach Division, intends to procure 1 set Newport 1000W Full Spectrum Solar Simulator and accessories, and 1 each Newport Table Top and set of 4 Vibration Isolators, from Newport Stratford, Inc., Stratford, CT. Solar Simulator P/N 91192 consists of the following part numbers: #6271, 1000 W xenon lamp ozone free; #69920 1kw arc lamp power supply; #70050 cable PS to LH w/IGN XE/HGXE; #70051 cable, PS to LH w/IGN HG; #91190M manual solar simulator; #91192-10 solar simulator ill, 4 x 4; #6271; 1000 w xenon lamp ozone free; #68951 digital exposure controller, set consisting of #68945, digital timer; #68957, fiber optic probe for 68950; 70018, 2M low noise BNC cable,; #70043, cable HD15 M/F, 6 ft; #70062, cable temp. controller; #71582, SI UV det. Head 5mm cooled; #81089, air mass direct filter set; #81088, air mass 1.5 global filter; #81150-1600, aperture set; #81180 aperture set;! #49125, UV safety spectacles, #49132 UV protective faceshield; #49121 UV gloves, size 10, #79006, adhes. backed warn sign-lasers; #79251, .5 mw unpolarized laser; #14040, beamstop with pedestal. The RS1000-58-12 Table Top is 5 ft x 8 ft x 12”, 3/16” stainless steel top, 3/16” stainless steel bottom surface, self-damping side panels, sealed mounting holes. The stabilizer vibration isolator (set of 4) is Model No. I-2000-425.5, 23.5”H. chamber design and laminar-flow damping with ACMP compact air compressor. Award is to be made under simplified acquisition procedures using an oral request for quotation. Anticipated award date is 9/13/05. The proposed action is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. The Newport Stratford 1000W full spectrum solar simulator with the digital exposure controller and accessories are critical component of the CIRPAS Radiometer Calibration System and will be used to calibrate the angular resp! onse of airborne solar radiometers. No other known product provides the required critical combination of features that include a well-collimated, stable light source that mimics the spectral output of the sun. The Newport Stratford Table Top and Vibration Isolators are critical components of the CIRPAS Radiometer Calibration System and will be used as a stable, optical table for the calibration of airborne solar and infrared radiometers. No other know product can provide the required features which includes active leveling, high quality of vibration isolation, flexibility of mounting a variety of components, and compatibility with other calibration instrumentation that is a part of the CIRPAS Radiometer Calibration System.
