Description

The VA National Acquisition Center will issue RFP-797-NC-05-0046 for the Department of Veteran Affair’s VA requirements for Tongue Depressors (Sterile), Latex-Free Tourniquets, Irrigation Kits, and Vaginal Speculums. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends this procurement as a service-disabled veteran owned small business concern set-aside. Product description for the Tongue Depressors (sterile), Latex-Free Tourniquets, Irrigation Kits, and Vaginal Speculums are as follows: 1. Tongue Depressors (sterile) –(Estimated Quantity.Annually-4,353,600) Individually packaged, sterile, sterile presentation, splinter-free, smooth surface, smooth edges, made from close-grained clear hardwood, disposable, single use, length-6” with plus/minus ¼ “ variance, width-3/4 plus/minus 1/64” variance, Thickness-7/100” with plus/minus 5/1000” variance, rounded ends, parallel edges, non-corrugated box, shelf life information, no less than 50, no more than 100 per box. 2. Latex-Free Tourniquets – (Estimated Quantity Annually-1,500,750) Disposable, 18” minimum, adequate stretch, and 1” width minimum. 3. Irrigation Kits – (Estimated Quantity Annually -347,880) Sterile, Disposable, Plastic tray capacity 1000cc, Graduated =>1000cc, plastic solution container 500cc, graduated 100cc increments, impervious drape, available with bulb syringe, available with piston syringe, 50-60cc (syringe) capacity, both styles available, CSR wrap, blister pack. 4. Vaginal Speculums – (Estimated Quantity Annually-84,017) Assorted Sizes (small, medium, large), disposable, light option, smooth edges, secure locking devices, bulk and individual packaging available, single patient use, ability to sterilize. Offerors must be able to provide the items as listed. The contract period will be for one year plus four one-year option periods. The contract items will be distributed through delivery orders to VA facilities. If offeror is not a manufacturer, a signed agreement between the offeror and the manufacturer must be submitted with offer and remain in effect for the duration of the contract period including option years. This solicitation may be considered as a bundled and the public is invited to submit comments to the Contracting Officer listed below. The solicitation will be available for downloading, on or about the issue date of June 20, 2005 from the VA Office of Acquisition and Material Management’s OA&MM internet web site at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
