- 2nd Posting The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals for a Design/Build to Remove and Replace the Fire Alarm System. See Technical Specifications, Division 1, General Requirements, Section 01110 Summary of Work for more information. AWARD OF THIS CONTRACT IS CONTINGENT UPON FINAL USPS PROJECT AND FUNDING APPROVAL. This is an active postal facility as such the contractor cannot interfere with the flow or processing of the USPS Mail. During Christmas Season from November 15, 2005 until January 4, 2006 the contractor will not be allowed to work in the building, therefore based on the above the contractor will start in the Admin Tower. Minority-owned and Women-owned Business participation is encouraged. Construction cost range: $1,750,000 to $2,000,000 Construction completion time will be 244 calendar days from the date after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Evaluation criteria in addition to price will be considered and are as follows: 1. Past Performance (50 points): Using information submitted in the Qualification Statement. Adequate demonstration of successful completion of projects of a similar scope and magnitude as that of the proposed work and must have been in business at least five (5) years on projects of a similar scope and magnitude. 2. Supplier Capability (40 points): Project Management Plan and Approach (10 points each); Project Scheduling, Proposed Project Team and Company Organization; Quality Control Plan/Team; and Experience Modification Ratio (EMR); Financial Capability (Pass/Fail); 3. Attendance at Pre-proposal Conference (10 points). The proposal due date is August 31, 2005. Specifications will be provided for a non-refundable cost of $125.00. The preferred method of paying for prints is by credit card. LDI accepts Master Card, Visa, or AMEX. Orders can be pre- paid by Corporate or Personal Check made out to LDI Reproprinting Center (DO NOT MAKE THE CHECK OUT TO THE U.S. POSTAL SERVICE). Mail your check to: LDI Reproprinting Centers, 2200 Northlake Parkway, Suite 350, Tucker, GA 30084-4084. All orders are shipped USPS Priority Mail. This is included in the price of the prints and specifications. USPS Express Mail service is also available at an additional cost. There will be no public opening of offers. All proposal information received is CONFIDENTIAL until award of a contract. The name of the successful offeror and the amount of the contract will be released as public information. The number of offerors, their names, and the amount of their offers WILL NOT BE RELEASED AS PUBLIC INFORMATION.
