Description
NASA/KSC plans to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQ)] for the following Commercial item: HCFC 225G to be used for cleaning in the manufacture of the space shuttle 12? disconnect and cold plates. The HCFC 225G solvent is also known as AK- 225G (1,3-Dichloro-1,1,2,2,3 Pentafluropropane). The required commodity shall be compliant with NASA Space Shuttle Specification for Fluid Procurement and Use Control SE-S-0073 and KSC-SPEC-P-0020, and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) is required. This requirement is a follow-on to Purchase Order NNK04MC16P with AGA Chemicals, Inc. NASA KSC intends to procure the required supply as a Single-Award Commercial IDIQ Contract for the issuance of Firm-Fixed-Price Task Orders, using FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated period of performance is five-years, with an estimated Guaranteed Minimum Quantity of twenty-five (25) Drums at 55 Gallons or 661 Pounds Each, and an estimated Maximum Quantity of 125 Drums at 55 Gallons or 661 Pounds Each. The IDIQ Contract will include a five-year schedule outlining the annual fixed unit price of a 55-Gallon Drum of HCFC 225G, for each year of the five-year performance period. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 424690- Other Chemical and Allied Products Merchant Wholesale, 500 Employees respectively. The anticipated release date of RFQ NNK05121850Q is on or about October 17, 2005 with an anticipated due date of on or about October 31, 2005. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
