- NASA/MSFC has a requirement for the following: 20 sets ea.- Prototype reusabel chip/caddy assemblies 40 ea. - NS095 - The chip is a glass, 8 well, Caliper 42 configuration without caddy. It is an electrokinetic flow drive configuration. There are dual flow paths with metered makings to monitor flow rate and fluid mixing rates. 70 ea. - NS145 - The chip is a glass, 8 well, Caliper 42 configuration without caddy. It is a pressure flow drive configuration. The "T" channel configuration is for measurement of low viscosity fluids. 40 ea. - NS305 - The chip is a glass, 8 well, Caliper 42 configuration without caddy. It is a pressure flow drive configuration. The "T" channel configuration is for measurement of high viscosity fluids. 40 ea. - NS007A - The chip is a glass, 8 well, Caliper 42 configuration without caddy. It is an electrokinetic flow drive configuration. There are three pair of dual intersections for reagent mixing. (All Chips must be compatible with the Caliper "Snap Caddy" in form fit and function in order to maintain proper seals and viewing accesses while not damaging the glass chip.) NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Caliper Life Sciences as a sole-source purchase. Caliper Life Sciences is the only source for the Caliper 42 instrument and is the sole patent holder for the Caliper 42 and chip technology. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See NASA Specific Note "B".
