Description

On June 08, 2004, the General Services Administration Public Building Service (PBS) publicized its intent to conduct a Streamlined Competition for the mechanical maintenance commercial activity services performed at various PBS field offices and border stations in the Rocky Mountain Region. The authority and procedures for the competition are found in the revised OMB Circular A-76. The competition was certified by the Competitive Sourcing Official, the Agency Tender Official and the Contracting Officer. This is the announcement of the performance decisions made as a result of the competition. Performance at the following locations will remain in-house (the numbers in parentheses following each location identify the number of FTEs effected): Aberdeen, SD (1), Billings, MT (1) Butte, MT (1), Piegan, MT (1), Bismarck, ND (1). As a result of this competition, is has been determined to be more cost effective for the work to be performed by contract at the following locations: Casper & Cheyenne, WY (4), Fargo, ND (3). No party may contest this determination based on the May 29, 2003 OMB Circular A-76.
