- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Acquisition of a potentiometric auto-titration system This instrument will be used to measure dissolved oxygen concentration in seawater with utmost accuracy and precision, via Winkler titration chemistry. To achieve the best possible results, we require an auto-titration system, suitable for laboratory and ship-board use, which offers excellent accuracy, precision, and ease of use. We seek an integrated instrument that serves the need for measurements of dissolved oxygen, and is adaptable for other standard titration applications as need arises. Quantity: 1 EA, Pricing must be FOB destination. Specifications The vendor shall provide all equipment necessary to perform standard titrations, including the buret, microprocessor controlled dosing system, stir plate, platinum potentiometric (redox) electrode, small format printer, and any other equipment needed to meet the specifications described below. The system shall: Be of compact and rugged design suitable for shipboard operations. Be fully operable without a PC computer interface. Use a highly automated dosing system to provide extremely high precision, reliably delivering titrant at 1 ?l resolution. Include a highly precise combination platinum/reference electrode with 0.1 mV resolution. Use a highly sensitive endpoint detection system that is user adjustable. Display the titration curve in real time to allow user to adjust the endpoint for a given application. Allow for electronic storage of titration results. Have a magnetic stir plate with settable speed control in the software. Operable using narrow mouthed bottles as the titration vessel (e.g., standard BOD bottles) requiring the buret tip, electrode, and stirring apparatus (if overhead) to fit through a 1.7 cm opening. Allow user to adjust dosing protocols to suit specific needs. Include a suite of standard protocols, including one for oxygen titrations, so that the user can immediately begin using the instrument. Include inputs for pH, redox, or ion selective electrodes, temperature sensor, and polarized electrodes. Include USB and RS232 connectivity to peripherals, including additional dosing units, other titration system components, printer, and keyboard. Include a compact, small format printer for printing of results. The following provisions apply: 52.212-1 - Instruction to Offerors ?
