- The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute intends to purchase a named brand BioDaq32-Cage Central Controller Laptop, Operating and Data Analysis Software System, quantity one (1), manufactured by Research Diets. Including the following: BioDAQ Peripheral Sensor and Controller and Cables, quantity eight (8) each, Mouse Cage Modification, Mount Hopper Assembly, and Blocker, quantity eight (8) each, and one (1) year warranty on all parts. The brand name determination is based upon the capability of the Biodaq32 system that can simultaneously record the food intake from 32 cages with the accuracy of 0.05 The Biodaq32 system is compatible with the existing mouse cage unit located at the animal facility. The system will fit directly into the racks of the caging unit. This is the only known system that meets the government?s minimum needs. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 339111, and Size Standard is 500 employees for this requirement. This is a total small business set-aside. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. Interested vendors capable of furnishing the government with the products in this synopsis should submit (2) copies of a quotation to the below address. The quotation shall include the itemized price, commercial price list, prompt payment terms, the F.O.B. Point (Destination or Origin) Shipping cost, if applicable, business size, Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNs), and descriptive literature of the product quoted. The Offeror must also register in the Government?s Contractor Registry System, note: www.ccr.gov . The quotation must reference ?Solicitation number? NHLBI-PS-2005-155-DDC. Quotations will be due fifteen (15) calendar days from the publication date of this synopsis or September 22, 2005, 12:00 p.m., local time, whichever is later. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Quotations must be submitted in writing to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, Contracts Operations Branch, Procurement Section, 6701 Rockledge Drive, Rockledge Building 2, Suite 6042, Bethesda, Maryland 20892-7902, Attention: Deborah Coulter.
