- The US Coast Guard, Maintenance and Logistics Command, Atlantic, intends to issue a sole source purchase order with Hydraulic Supply Co. to purchase replacement dual counterbalance manifold kits for the 87 foot patrol boats. This kit was developed after the successful completion of the prototype phase on two of the 87 patrol boats the HAMMERHEAD and ALBACORE. The manifold in this kit has been custom designed by Hydraulic Supply Company and Vickers for this application. Because of the efforts and expense required to design and build these manifolds, Vickers will only sell this manifold through Hydraulic Supply Co. The Vickers part number for this custom manifold is MCD-8812. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $85,000.00. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
