- Description
- NASA/KSC plans to issue a Sole-Source Request for Quotation (RFQ) for a Scan Probe Assembly. This attachment will allow the Brown and Sharpe Global Image 9128 Coordinate Measuring Machine, existing at the NASA Metrology Lab, to measure continuously. NASA/KSC intends to negotiate a contract with Brown and Sharpe Inc. of Lawrenceville, GA. This is a sole-source procurement under the authority of FAR 13.501. Brown and Sharpe is the only known responsible source that can supply this upgrade. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procurement (SAP). This notice of intent is not a request for quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing by mail, fax, or email to Ms Regina Clifton not later than 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Monday, September 12, 2005.
