- Description
- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office, intends to modify incumbent contract N00140-05-P-0380, with NIDA Corporation of Melbourne, Florida, to provide an additional four months of Facilitator Support Services, for Apprentice Technical Training (ATT) for Electricity, Electronics, Communications and Radar (EEC&R), at the Submarine Learning Center (SLC), Groton, CT, for the period of performance 1 October 2005 through 31 January 2006. The services of the incumbent contract are considered critical and vital to the Government and must be continued, without interruption, pending competitive award of a follow-on contract, anticipated to commence 1 February 2006. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. NIDA Corporation is the only known source that has the necessary contract infrastructure, including experience, expertise, facilities and trained personnel in place to perform all required services, without interruption, commencing 1 February 2006, at SLC Groton. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or to submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received by 19 September 2005. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code and size standard are 611710 and $6M, respectively. Numbered Notes 22 and 26 apply.
