- The Naval Air Systems Command, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, MD plans to award a sole source small purchase order to Heim Data Systems, Incorporated of Belmar, NJ for one D7000 Airborne Solid State Digital Recorder. The Heim Data Systems Model D7000 Airborne Solid State Digital Recorder must be an exact replacement unit as it is currently installed and will be installed on aircraft for data acquisition. The mechanical, electrical and user interfaces must be identical to the Heim Data Systems Model 7000 Airborne Solid State Digital Recorder for both new/legacy instrumentation solid state recording systems and checkout procedures used with other workgroups to be interoperable. The Heim Data Systems D7000 SSR also meets the United States Navy Test Pilot School Instrumentation requirements of having a single removal PCMCIA Solid State Media Disk that the airborne data and cockpit voice is recorded on and can be played back to analyze the aircraft?s flight characteristics. The Government reserves the right to process this procurement on a Sole Source basis. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This notice of intent closes on 9-22-05.
