Description
This synopsis provides notice of the Government?s intent to solicit a quote on a sole source basis with Power Systems International, 860 Douglas Way, Natural Bridge Station, VA 24579-0530, for the items listed below. The items are NOT commercial. The Contract Line Item Numbers and descriptions are: CLIN 0001 Trailer System, Cargo and Fuel, 172? IAW Specification 9000194, OD Green P/N 2001345 quantity of 2 each; CLIN 0002 Wheel, Tongue Mounted P/N 2001043, quantity of 2 each; CLIN 0003 Nose Cone, Tongue Support for transport P/N 1000100 quantity of 2 each. This Trailer System is in support of a communication systems upgrade project. The Trailer System must be compatible and have connectivity with GENSET trailer systems previously purchased from Power Systems International. The trailer systems should not exceed 1850 pounds without fuel and they must be no larger than 172? in length, 85? in width, with a bed height not to exceed 33?. The trailer systems must have an integrated 100 gallon fuel tank with a mechanical fuel level gauge and dial indicator readout to allow fueling without removal of cargo. The trailer systems must have a fuel delivery system to transfer fuel into the GENSET trailer system. Ground clearance must not be lower than 15.5? when fully loaded. The trailers must have an axle width of 71.6? to track with the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) expanded capacity vehicle (ECV) and must also have stabilizing jacks as well as a third wheel on the nose for ease of transportability. Award is expected to be 22 September 2005. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, responsible interested parties may submit a quote in which they identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider all information received by 21 September 2005, 1530 EST. A determination by the Government not to compete this procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
