Description
THIS IS A MODIFICATION TO A PREVIOUS NOTICE POSTED 14 APRIL 2005. THIS IS FOR A CHANGE IN QUANTITIES, BASE YEAR AND OPTION YEARS. PLEASE READ BELOW FOR THE CHANGES. ALL OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN THE SAME. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, New Jersey (NAWCADLKE), intends to procure Sonobuoy Simulator Test Set, quantity of eight (8)part number P/N 5171-0101000000 for the base year 2006 with an option for fiscal year 2007-2010 for two (2) each year for a total of sixteen (16. This procurement will on a sole-source basis with Ultra Electronics, Flightline Systems of Victor, New York. Ultra Electronics is the sole developer and Original Equipment Manufacturer and possesses the proprietary data and technology to successfully meet the requirements of the Navy. The Government is anticipating a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type contract. This acquisition will be processed as a sole source procurement. NAWCADLKE intends to procure under the authority of 10 USC 2304 ?(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Ultra Electronics, Flightline Systems is the sole designer and manufacturer of the equipment and is the only firm possessing the knowledge, experience and technical expertise necessary to fulfill the Navy?s requirements. The Government does not own the data rights. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
